PW HOPE WOODS LUNCHEON—RSVP by February 3

Note regarding February 8 Martha Circle: 
On Wednesday, February 8, members of Martha Circle will participate in the PW luncheon at Hope Woods. The regular 3:30 p.m. meeting at the church will not take place. Women planning to attend the luncheon should register with the church office.

EDISON SCHOOL PROJECT
The Edison Project continues to need hand sanitizer, tissues, and snacks for the children, as they are staying indoors more during the   winter months. As the principal and team of teachers told us during  the Minute for Mission a couple of weeks ago, all FPC contributions   of school supplies, snacks, and birthday cupcakes are appreciated by the children and teachers. Supplies may be dropped off at the church office in the mail room in the box marked “Edison School Supplies.”

NEW CLASS—Beginning January 15
The Rev. Dr. Harry Eberts will lead us in a new adult education class entitled “The Early Jesus Movement and   Its Parties.” At least four groups of early Christians were active in Jesus’ mission. Each party addressed a segment of the population of the Roman Empire, and each developed a distinctive theology, worship, governance, and oral tradition (much of which later became our New Testament). How does the variation and congruity among the parties illuminate foundations   of our Christian faith? And how might these early foundations inform our   present experience of faithfulness, including variation and congruity of belief among us? The class will meet on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in Room 301.  Books are available for $20.00 from Pat Stromsta or at the time of the class.
