NEW CLASS—Beginning January 15

For five weeks beginning January 15, The Rev. Dr. Harry Eberts will lead us in a new adult education class entitled “The Early Jesus Movement and   Its Parties.” At least four groups of early Christians were active in Jesus’ mission. Each party addressed a segment of the population of the Roman Empire, and each developed a distinctive theology, worship, governance, and oral tradition (much of which later became our New Testament). How does the variation and congruity among the parties illuminate foundations   of our Christian faith? And how might these early foundations inform our   present experience of faithfulness, including variation and congruity of belief among us? The class will meet on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in Room 301.  Books are available for $20.00 from Pat Stromsta or at the time of the class.
